Hi, Me and my boyfriend just moved to Park Slope from the WestCoast and we are absolutely clueless about where to go for Halloween. Can any locals give us advice on bars, clubs etc that are doing something Halloweeny and that we must check out on Tuesday night? Local or in the city?

The Halloween Parade in the Village is fun. Talk about the freaks come out at night. I think everyone should experience the parade at least once. It makes for good people watching.

i wholeheartedly agree with Veruca. the halloween parade in the village is a MUST at least once while you're here, and since there's no time like the present.... have a good time

and of course there is the much more low key, child-centric parade on 7th Ave in your very own neighborhood. Runs from 12th St to Union St. Thousands of sugar-crazed very small children trick or treating at local businesses. You'll find out what this year's Pokemon is! My friends the Granny Cart Drill Team (last seen at the Mermaid Parade) will be performing towards the rear...
