      from http://www.atlanticyardswatch.net/about:

Demolition and disruption at the Atlantic Yards site began shortly after the project’s initial approval in December 2006, but has increased significantly following its official groundbreaking in March of 2010. As construction of the Barclays Center arena and other project elements progress the project’s immediate neighbors as well as the surrounding communities are experiencing disruptions in traffic flow, construction noise, and quality of life impacts related to stewardship of the site perimeter, as well as other current impacts. Residents, business owners, Community Boards and elected officials are interested in anticipating additional impacts in order to ensure they are effectively mitigated.

The Boerum Hill Association, the Prospect Heights Neighborhood Development Council and the Park Slope Civic Council are co-sponsors of Atlantic Yards Watch, an initiative intended to gather and process information related to the operation and implementation of the Atlantic Yards Project for use by the public, City and State agencies, and elected officials. The sponsors hope to fill a gap in project oversight that exists currently, but may be eventually addressed through reform of Atlantic Yards governance.

AYW currently offers a form for community members to submit reports of Atlantic Yards-related incidents for tracking and follow-up. Forums are also available for discussion of topics of general concern. In the future, the AYW sponsors expect to offer additional resources providing information on trends on traffic and environmental impacts, construction plans, and projected schedules.

AYW is a community-based and volunteer-led initiative. Its success is dependent on input and engagement from the communities impacted by the project. If you would like to volunteer, or you would like a presentation given to your local community group, please contact us.

      Karl-
I'd like it more if the actors were better looking.

For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor.

Why can't our version have good looking 20 somethings in bathing suits trapped on an island?

Aren't we also on an island?

Why does our Island reality show remind me so much of the movie Jurasic Park?

Karl, when you were a younger Druid, did you ever play Madlibs?

I played it again just now.

Eccentric billionaire John Hammond Forest Ratner (Richard Attenborough), CEO of InGen, has recently created Jurassic Park: a theme park populated with dinosaurs TGI Friday's cloned from the DNA extracted from insects preserved in prehistoric amber. The park is located on an island off of Costa Rica's Pacific Manhattan's coast.

After a park worker is attacked by a dinosaur, Hammond Ratner's investors represented by their lawyer Donald Gennaro Bertha Lewis of the former ACORN(Martin Ferrero) demand that experts visit the park and verify that it is safe. Gennaro ACORN's Bertha invites Dr. Ian Malcolm Marty Markowitz (Jeff Goldblum), a mathematician, while Hammond Ratner invites paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant Mike Bloomberg (Sam Neill) and paleobotanist Dr. Ellie Sattler Assemblymember Tish James (Laura Dern).

They are joined on the island by Hammond's two grandchildren—Tim Andrew Goldstein (Joseph Mazzello) and Lex Murphy Develop Don't Destroy Brooklyn (Ariana Richards).

Granted, there are not as many buff people in bathing suits as Lost, but how do you think it will turn out?

I stopped here to give everyone a chance to participate.

While the group explores the park, Hammond observes his guests along with Head Technician Ray Arnold (Samuel L. Jackson) and his game warden, Robert Muldoon (Bob Peck).

The head computer programmer, Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight), is secretly in the employ of one of InGen's corporate rivals, and has been paid to steal fertilized dinosaur embryos. During his theft, Nedry deactivates the park's security system, allowing him access to the embryo storage. The rest of the group, who have been stranded in the park due to the system shutdown, are attacked by the Tyrannosaurus that escapes from its paddock, killing Gennaro and wounding Ian. Grant manages to escape with Tim and Lex. Nedry's attempt to flee with the embryos is unsuccessful when he encounters a Dilophosaurus that kills him.

Unable to decipher Nedry's code to reactivate the security fences, Hammond recommends a total reboot of the park's systems. He, along with Ellie, Arnold, Muldoon and Malcolm, shut down the park's system and retreat to the emergency bunker, from where Arnold heads to the maintenance bunker to reboot the system. When he doesn't return, Muldoon and Ellie head for the bunker. At the same time, Grant and the children discover a nest full of hatched eggs, indicating the dinosaurs are breeding on their own.

As Muldoon and Ellie proceed to the maintenance bunker, Muldoon realizes they are being hunted by the raptors. Muldoon is killed by the velociraptors, while Ellie makes it to the bunker and restarts the park systems. At the same time, Tim, Lex and Grant climb the electrified fence out of the park's animal zone and Tim is nearly killed upon the reactivation of the electricity.

Grant and the kids head for the visitor's center; he leaves the kids alone in the kitchen while he reunites with Sattler and the others. The kids manage to escape two raptors before reuniting with Grant and Ellie. Lex is able to assist getting the park's security systems working from the control room. Grant contacts Hammond and tells him to call the mainland for rescue, but the two raptors find the group and attack.[quote]

The group flees through the vents, only to be cornered in the entrance hall by the raptors, who prepare to strike. However, the T. rex breaks into the main hall and attacks the raptors, allowing the foursome to escape outside where they are rescued by Malcolm and Hammond.

For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor.

So far Goldstein is the real winner.
