Battle for Brooklyn and If A Tree Falls (about the Earth Liberation Front - we need them in Brooklyn) were both excellent, and tragic.

Battle for Brooklyn is a wonderful film.
It's so hard to be a saint in the city. -
Also shortlisted, and also excellent, was the film, "Buck", on which I worked and was credited.
Unfortunately, the delightful film "Being Elmo", on which I also worked, didn't make the short list -
Buck was hands down the Best movie I've seen all year. The girls I was with were crying half the time because it is such a warm story about such a great person. I teared up myself.
Its on Netflix on Demand right now

Have not seen battle for brooklyn, did they include the part where they didn't even hire local construction workers?
