Corporate Records Service - it's a hoax, right?

Our coop received 2 green envelopes from a company calling itself Corporate Records Service, requesting minutes from our coop and information on our officers, plus a $125 payment. But it says on the envelope "This is not a government document." My company in Manhattan also received the same solicitation.

I did a google search and found references of it happening in Illinois and Florida saying it was a scam.

Just thought I'd put it out there in case anyone else got the green letter this weekend. My guess is they've sent them to everyone and will probably make some money off it.

I got the same notice for a corporation I dissolved 2 years ago
