I think I just figured it out.
Last night, I saw a large transport with a helicopter on it going down Flatbush Ave. escorted by police. After watching the news this morning, it looks like the copter that went down in the East River yesterday. I think they were taking it to Floyd Bennet Field for further investigation. Helicopters were probably following it.

With a tractor trailer playing the role of the hearse, the relatives of the deceased helicopter somberly and slowly followed the remains of their loved one to its final resting place.
...a funeral procession for a helicopter.
So touching. So sad.
I never knew helicopters had such feelings for each other.
For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor. -
