Hello! My cat Alpha went missing friday 10/26 between 4-8 PM. I have posted some signs in the neighborhood but I am waiting until after the hurricane to go poster crazy. He is a black, fluffy, soft, two year old house cat. All four of his paws are white, and he has white under his chin and on his belly. He is very friendly, he has all his shots and is fixed, and no history of scratching or biting. I am very worried about him in the hurricane, and as he has never been out of the house, he will probably be looking for shelter and food. I am offering a cash reward for the return of the best cat I have ever known. Please help if you have seen him! thank you very much!! He was last seen across from the Yemen Deli at Prospect Ave and Classon, climbing on the scaffolding. My address is 497 Prospect Place Apt 1L, right on the corner, and my phone number is 917-568-1364. Thank you again.

You really do need to go door to door around your block and let your neighbors know. Your cat can be hiding in a basement or backyard, but neighbors won't know to check unless you talk to them and urge them to check. Notify all the local pet stores/vets/bodegas/and rescue agencies to keep an eye out for your cat.(\__/)

You should contact Fidobrooklyn.org to post about your lost kitty (I believe they also send emails out to their membership with such information). Lots of posters around your neighborhood! Every time I see lost pet posters I make sure to keep my eyes open for that animal when I'm out in the neighborhood. Reach out to Sean Casey Animal Rescue and other local rescues to see if anyone has brought in Alpha. Definitely check Animal Care and Control, at least once a day, to make sure Alpha somehow didn't get brought in there. I hope Alpha is found safe and sound very soon!

Yes, contact Bob at Fido. Their website also has some pointers, but the main one is flyers and that lost cats are usually really nearby so try putting the flyer into the doors of the closest buildings with a note asking them to check cellars and yard sheds.
