Hi all. If you find that you have a moment today/tonight...whenever... please call 311 on behalf of your neighbors on Prospect between Washington and Underhill. Two street lights are out. One has been out for over a week, and is directly across the street from the pretty diagonal house that has construction going on. As a result of the contruction a tall wood wall is up, and its completely dark in front of it--our street is already dark as is, and right now it looks extra sketch. I've already called and have not seen any results, and now two lights are off. Maybe it takes more than one complaint to get streetlights turned back on. But one call is better than one, and would light up the street again! Thank you!

I just called it in--if any block needs streetlights, it's that one! But the person I talked to said there was already a work order in, so I'm not sure more calling will help. Hopefully they fix it soon."Now if every newspaper editor had to deal with a reader like Emily, boy, would they think twice, or three times." --greg

if the streetlight pole has lost power for some reason, the work-order is transfered from the DOT lighting contractor to CON EDISON. If that's the case it will take longer than normal.

I live on that block and the city replaced the bulb on the streetlight in front of my house. I don't think that one was burnt, maybe they replaced all of them?
