Join us, in partnership with Windflower Farm, for our first season of 22 weeks of amazing, local veggies! Half shares are available (pickup every
other week).
If you aren't familiar with a CSA, it's Community Supported
Agriculture. This is a program where, in partnership with
Windflower Farm (located in Valley Falls, NY), Prospect Heights neighbors buy shares of fresh, healthy produce directly from the farmer.
Eliminating the middle man ensures that the money we pay goes directly to our farmer, Ted Blomgren at Windflower Farm. Supporting local organic farms supports regional sustainability. Enhancing the availability of the freshest produce in Prospect Heights for people of all income levels, bringing real, healthy food access to more people ensures that the "community" aspect of Community Supported Agriculture rings true.
Don't think you can afford it? Think, again!
We are offering a low-income option - or Plan C
- full vegetable share for $300 (that's only $13.64/week
for our 22-week season). We also accept EBT/food stamps! CSA members using food stamps pay every two weeks.
Please join us for what should be a fun first season of great, tasty food and welcoming people!
Contact us if you're interested in the Plan C vegetable share: info@prospectparkcsa.org or (347) 746-5710.
Our pick-up location: Tuesdays beginning June 7th 5:00 pm
- 7:30 pm, Fountain Studios, 604 Grand Ave., between St
Marks Ave. & Bergen St.
Work shift requirement: Our CSA Members will also be responsible for working two shifts (two hours each) during the season. The work shifts include every member of this CSA.
