Subject: Save the Date: What's Next with Atlantic Yards
If you only go to one meeting about Atlantic Yards, this should be it. We're rapidly approaching the end game on what happens in our neighborhood and, quite directly, to our quality of life. What was once a very bad project is now a much, much worse project with no benefits for anyone but a very wealthy developer. In short: the old Atlantic Yards plan is no more, and it's not clear what will happen next. However: there are alternatives for development over the railyards, NOT including an arena, that would ultimately be much more valuable for everyone in the community, and bring affordable housing and jobs for real, not in Ratner-speak. Learn about how we can make that happen. DDDB Community Meeting: Status Report, Planning, Q&A and Discussion June 9. 7pm. Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church 85 South Oxford Street [Map] Fort Greene With: Councilmember Letitia James DDDB Board Member and Pratt Professor Ron Shiffman DDDB Co-founder Daniel Goldstein and invited guestsBrooklynian » Forum » Prospect Heights »
