2 shots fired. st. johns & underhill. i witnessed. called 911. aa guy in green camo, black knit cap. he walked east on st johns. cops still on scene.
-
did he hit anyone? ...was he aiming for anyone? For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor.
-
no one hit. it was strange. he was arguing with a guy. didn't see the first shot. appeared to shoot into the ground second time. maybe just to intimidate. other guy walked off. shooter stood there talking on cell phone. walked around a bit, then strolled east on st. johns. don't know if they got him. cops gone now.
-
so glad you saw it and reported it. it sounds like he was caught--brought out of a building on st johns.
-
Yes, they brought him out handcuffed from a building on the north side of the street towards Underhill. I've seen him on the block; he lives in that building.
-
not a bright guy. fires off two rounds and then stands there like he's waiting to get pinched...
-
he sounds like a genius. For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor.

I'm glad the cops actually came. When I heard shots fired right outside my door and saw people running, I called 911 but they never showed up. I collected the bullet casings the next morning. edit: this was years ago, on a rougher block than where I live now.

heard this this morning - gf and I thought the first couple shots were something really big falling .. then it sounded like a second round. but like it was hitting the ground or something (not echo-y) so I wasn't sure.
-
I can't believe I slept through that.

We heard this too. Scared the shit out of us. The cops came into our building, asked them what happened and they wouldn't tell us. What building did they bring him out of? I saw a few traffic cops seconds after the first shot, but they were in their crusier and took off. Anyway, thank you for reporting it. Glad they got the guy and the gun off the street. I knew it wasn't good when I looked outside and saw a woman running from the corner.
