Your local Democratic club is gathering to talk politics and support a local business.
At 9 pm on January 24, President Barack Obama is scheduled to address the joint Congress about the future of our nation. Please join Prospect Heights Democrats for Reform at the Velvet Peach Cafe for good food and good conversations as we watch President Obama's State of the Union address.
In 2008, President Obama swept the nation with a record win, breaking 8 years of Republican leadership in the White House. In 2012 we're fighting an energized Republican Party. We have until February 9th to collect 5000 petition signatures to get Obama on the ballot in New York State. We're looking to join with other Democrats in Brooklyn to show the world that we're still fired up to fight for our country.
So come on out to the Velvet Peach Cafe, pick up petition forms, join the process by getting your friends to sign, and socialize with like-minded Democrats. Let’s show how strong Prospect Heights Dems are!
