Tree Removal / Street Closures - Plaza St ?

Anyone know what's up? Two trees came out - one at Vanderbilt/Plaza East and the other from in front of 20 Plaza - two different crews - and Plaza West is blocked off...

Big coincidence???

I think the city is bustin' its collective you-know-what to get at all these diseased trees before they fall on pedestrians. If you remember, there were a few trees taken out on Plaza Street when that tornado came through a couple years ago. I'm sure the city wants to prevent that from happening again (and killing someone.)
