      Thanks for the plug!

Life on Mars is using a building on Dean near Vanderbilt as its precinct house, so they're going to be back there A LOT!

If you can, watch the BBC original version then be prepared to be disappointed by the US remake.

I've heard that a lot, actually. I saw a preview of "LoM" at the New York Television Festival last week and it was really good. (Of course something has to suck pretty bad if you can't cobble together 5 good minutes out of an hour show, but I've seen it happen.) If I do get a chance to watch the original I'm going to try not to compare them too much. Why bother remaking something if you're not going to put your own spin on it? I like the original "Office" but adore the American version too.

He's such a badass. I don't know anything about the show (even the BBC version, which I'm surprised went under my Anglophile radar), but I'll definitely check it out to see glimpses of the 'hood. I'm guessing by their wardrobe and the car parked in front of the building that it takes place in the '70s?

From what I know, it starts out in present day, and then Jason O'Mara's character gets hit by a car and wakes up in the 70s. He doesn't know if he's travelled back in time, or is in a coma, or what. But he's still a cop.

Here are some pix from August, when they filmed some of the modern day stuff with Lisa Bonet and Jason O'Mara:
