Regardless of who should get the credit for them signing up, the credit should go to these people for showing up, and the merchants association for throwing this event

I had to work so I missed this event, but hopefully I'll be able to make the next one.

It was nice to see Washington Ave clean for a little bit, but disappointing to see it get dirty again so fast. A lot of people don't see anything wrong with using the street as an all-purpose trash can. How do you change that?

Thanks to all for the hard work. Looks beautiful!

Why attack God? He may be as miserable as we are.

The WAPHA Street Beautification Committee, which is made up of volunteer merchants installed 10 tree guards and plant in front of businesses on Washington, Classon, and Underhill Avenues. Residents, families, and business owners helped the committee install tree guards and plant in tree beds. Volunteers, residents, and local organizations have all played a vital role in the committee’s street beautification projects. Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Prospect Heights Community Farm provided plants and Prospect Heights Street Tree Task Force supported the committee’s efforts with mulching, tree pruning, and volunteers. The committee also received support from Community Board 8 Environment Committee, as well as Natty Garden.
