Thanks for the link with the owner. It's unfortunate that he doesn't want to clean the place up. I guess he's just happy with the amount of people that go there and doesn't want the business to grow.

Brooklyn Lyceum on 4th & Pres.

raw » Yes, that is strange and I’m not surprised.

The Brooklyn Lyceum has SO MUCH potential. I can imagine myself becoming a huge fan. But they must work harder to obtain my sought-after attendance. Once they get their act together and deliver top-notch entertainment in an inviting and comfortable space, I’ll proudly pay an up to $10 cover to support their cause. I want to see this place succeed.

Absolutely. From the link to that other thread, it seems that Mr. Richmond doesn't seem to understand that we already think the Lyceum has a great concept, and awesome building, but that we just feel that it isn't living up to its potential.

Brooklyn Lyceum on 4th & Pres.

Yes, that is strange and I’m not surprised.

The Brooklyn Lyceum needs a revamp in many areas.

Have you seen The Brooklyn Lyceum’s website? The last few times I checked it, The Brooklyn Lyceum’s online calendar was so hard navigate that I gave up decrypting it and went to BAM, Barbes, and Galapagos Art Space – all venues that clearly announce and sufficiently describe their events information on their websites and in other media. I’d rather travel extra miles to another neighborhood for entertainment -- performance art, music, films, etc. -- at a venue that plainly states its events in an easily accessible format rather than waste time trying to determine what the heck is happening at the incoherent venue around the corner and guess whether or not it’s worth my $10.00.
