Where: St. Francis College, 182 Remsen Street

In July 2011, a New York State Supreme Court order the Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC) to complete a Supplement Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for phase 2 of the Atlantic Yards project. The court found that the agency illegally approved changes to the Atlantic Yards project in 2009. The 2009 changes extended the duration of construction of the project from ten years to twenty-five years.

The draft scope of work for the SEIS was released in December 2012, and is available from the ESDC's web site. It describes the framework and tasks to be performed under the SEIS. ESDC has scheduled a public hearing to take comments on the draft scope of work for Wednesday, February 27 at 5:00PM, to be held at Founders Hall at St. Francis College. Written comments will be accepted until 5:00PM on March 14, 2013, and may be submitted by email to atlanticyards@esd.ny.gov.
