If there's anything that sucks for us, it's UPS. They never, ever EVER come and always update their site with "no answer from resident" even though my partner is there all day (even getting lunch Seamlessed in). I don't understand how a delivery service that doesn't deliver can still be in business.

Living in three different boroughs for the past 40 years, I never had so much of a problem with mail until I moved to Park Slope. I sometimes don't get my mail, get other people's mail (people who live several blocks away), and have had issues with my packages. Once a package was sent back to the sender because they claimed that they sent me notices about picking it up at the post office. I never received any notice. I've had USPS packages sometimes sent with signature required only to have found it on my doorstep when I got home.

Check out their yelp page.

I would make a complaint to the letter carrier supervisor for your district.

I never got my Bust, Health or Time Out. I did always get my New Yorker, probably because the postal people are illiterate, and the New Yorker has lots of writing and few pictures.
My handy and sly solution was to periodically have my "mail held" at the station. You can do this by claiming to be going on a business trip, or having a "broken mailbox". I would do it when I was expecting a package. The problem is you can't do it too often.

Another thing is to look into is mailboxes etc or UPS. They are expensive and right now I am having my packages left You can try Away We Go Postal. I forget the street address Google them. There are many places that will get your mail and packages because YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN YOUR PROBLEM!

delivered? My mail service route is 16th Street between 4 and 5 Avenues. I'm not sure of the
route as it starts or ends however, I am sure that there is at least one bad apple scanning packages
that they never leave at your door. I have a complaint number for the last package that they
claim they delivered. We were home all day, waiting. The only clue I received was the email
you can get on line indicating it had been delivered to my door. I called within an hour of the time
they claimed delivery and got someone to assist me. They gave me a case number and told
me someone at my local post office would check into this and get back to me. This did not happen.
They never called me or tried to make contact. When I call the main number and give them the
case number the updated comments in the computer suggests I get a video camera, check with
neighbors etc. I then explain to the woman helping me, original delivery was not made to my address.
She was very nice and understanding of my problem. She then directed me to file a complaint with
Consumer Affairs, which I plan to do.
Today, I'm waiting on some CD's I ordered. My mail gets dropped through my slot, and no CDs.
I go outside and see the mail carrier outside of my gate between my house and the next,
scanning my CD's all three of them. I tell him, hey those are mine. He doesn't look up, he doesn't
say anything, just hands them to me and continues on his way. I was confused to say the least,
I mean, if he had forgotten to drop them in, wouldn't he have said, yeah, I just noticed these and
was going to drop them back into your slot? He is now delivering mail to the new large condo
building across the street from me, I walk over and ask him why he didn't leave my CD's in my
mail slot, he was annoyed and tells me he did, or he was going to but he forgot. What would you
think?
I'm sure I'm not the only person having this problem. All I can say is, there is always someone home
at my house, we have signs telling them deliveries downstairs and sign downstairs telling them
someone is home, please knock.
This route does not have a "regular" mail person, so the care factor isn't there. There have been more
than a few occasion when my little house has received all the mail for the forty family building to
the left of me. I would urge anyone having any type of mail problems to report and complain,
the number where this can be recorded before it is directed to our local area PO is
800 275 8777. I refuse to continue having packages go missing only to be told the package tracking
number shows it was delivered. I saw my CD's tracking numbers being scanned outside of my gate
and I'm sure they would not have made it into my mail slot, as he had just finished delivering my mail and was on his way. I have to think this as to date since November, I've had 4 out of 9 packages delivered but
not to my house. I will now file all and any reports I need to, because it's out of control.
Anyone have any similar problems? Would appreciate any input.
