I just brought in a pair of expensive jeans to be shortened and they did a very good job. &#60;p&#62;&#60;/p&#62;
and.. you can choose to have it done the way you described; by attaching the original hem. The last tailor I tried (someone on Bartel Pritchard Square) did a rough job -- a quickie clip, fold and stitch. Someone I used to use out of state had a great technique in which they actually kept the original hem and worked it into the new length.
