I'm trying to catch a ride to upstate NY from someone taking I-95, so I need to find an easy stop-off point for her (possibly in NJ) that's also easy for me to get to, via the Path or bus.

From what I can tell, Newark Aiport might be my best bet...but if anyone has other suggestions, I'd be grateful!

Hi! We're both going way up to Canton, NY (same birthday party).

Now I'm thinking Newark Penn Station might be better than the airport...fewer signs but less congestion and confusion.

I see.I thought you were both driving from Brooklyn. I would take the Amtrak from NY Penn Station to Newark Penn Station. Newark Airport gets pretty crowded. And they're doing construction. You gals can then hop on the I-280 (which is less that a 1/4 mile away) and take it to the I-80, I-380 then the I-81 to whatever secondary road gets you to Canton.

Be sure to stop for a meal at Bingham's Family Restaurant, at Exit 211 (Lenox) on I-81. Good country cooking, and excellent pies, rice pudding, etc.
