As long as people keep falling for the IDT (and similar) speeches, they will contine to knock on doors.

For better or worse, the change on Nostrand is going to make the change on Franklin look minor.

No one is falling for it in my building but they keep coming. I'm also confused by some of the people they hire. Some genuinely seem confused why people slam doors in their faces. There was one rather shaky scared young woman show up at my door. She had no idea why people were so rude. She had no idea it was a scam, and I told her no one in the building was going to be nice to her and to try hard to find a different job.

And just when you think they've all been vanquished, another couple guys will show up. And yeah, by now it's all guys and they come in pairs.

My house looks deserted :p cause i never take in flyers, i leave it outside and its pile till a large one and than i recycle them.

I had someone ring up for my partner, asked for him by name. I knew it was a scam because a) they rang on the landline (he only gives out his cell number) and b) they claimed they had detected a problem on his PC running Windows 7 (he has an iMac). I called the person a bald-faced liar and slammed the receiver down. There is something quite cathartic about being able to slam the receiver down on a scam artists, much more so than pushing an off button. It's the telephone equivalent of slamming a door as opposed to hanging up the video phone.

I would have messed with them a little more personally

I ran out of numbers to block on my cell phone. They seem to get alot of new numbers all the time for calls.

How hard is it for the lazy ass government to track down these scams via phone?

I don't blame the workers at all, the owners on the other hand should be well as you know I like criminals to get beaten or shot :p. so either one would work.

They also lie about putting you on their do not call list. I finally got a land line, and they fill up my voice mail tape with hangups and stupid adverts. They also have 50 gazillion numbers that they call from.

a teaspoon of kisses and a drop of glee
