So I have an ipod mini that got a ton of music and I just got a nano. I want to put some of the music from that itunes library onto the nano. Meanwhile, I connected the nano to my Mac and it's empty. What do I do. I'm lost.

Did you get the first pod from someone that already loaded it? You can't move the music from an ipod to another Mac as far as I know.

If the music *is* on your Mac, it should be easy to load up the Nano . . .

hard to know what your question is . . .

      or you could look here

You can transfer the songs from your old iPod mini onto your Mac with one of many free programs (try Senuti http://www.download.com/Senuti/3000-2182_4-10458456.html). Then once you've done that and have the songs in your iTunes library, you can easily load them onto the new Nano.

Sorry, I wasn't specific enough. I did finally figure out how to move some of the songs from the mini's library to my nano's. Although, I do have another question. Let's say your friend burns you a CD with MP3's from his Ipod. Could'nt you just upload those MP3's to your library?

If I'm understanding your question, all you have to do is pop in the cd and then, depending on what kind of cd it is, here's what you do:

      1) If it's a regular audio cd like you could play with a cd player, it should come up in iTunes and you'll just click the "import" button to import the mp3's.

      2) If it's a data disc, you go to the file menu and select "Add to Library," then select the mp3(s) you want in the window that pops up, and that will import them. Same method works when you've downloaded an mp3 to your hard drive by saving it off of a website, by the way!
