We've seen a lot of reckless crime victims recently, snatching guns out of the hands of would-be muggers, etc. Hate to say it, but ALMOST GETTING KILLED is the more likely outcome when you decide that your $199 smartphone is worth fighting for:

The 81-year-old man was standing on the J-line platform at Lorimer St about 11:45 a.m. on Friday when one of the thieves approached him and stole his smartphone.

This poor old "octogenarian" is getting a lot of sympathy, while the "heartless" teens are subject to a lot of fist-shaking ire... not to excuse what the teens did, but I hope this octogenarian regrets giving chase over a ridiculous iPhone.
