A new kind of farm share is now available in Greenpoint.Plovgh, an online community where farms announce their harvest and members place orders from farms for pick-up in their neighborhood, has a new Pickup Point at Veronica People’s Club. Starting Saturday, December 17, 10am-2pm, Veronica People’s Club (105 Franklin Street between Greenpoint Avenue and Milton Street) will have Plovgh pickups every other week. To find out what’s available from the farms – from Long Island winter greens to Iowa popcorn, sign up at Plovgh.com.
In addition to connecting you with farms’ crops, Plovgh also has tools for starting a Pickup Point in your neighborhood. Groups are getting Plovgh Pickup Points started around New York City, with outposts in Downtown Brooklyn and the West Village to date. Visit Plovgh.com to learn more.
