Amy Staats' comedy short Here's What I Like: Fashion and Flowers. And Now I'll Tell You Why is one the many outstanding films being screened at chashama Film Festival next week. The non-profit festival is free, so come on, 99%, and support this artist's work!

      - November 10-13th, 2011
      - 217 East 42nd Street, Manhattan
      - Start times vary--see the screening schedule and reserve seats at http://www.chafilmfest.com or at Eventbrite

There are a lot of other great films, too, including a documentary by Brooklyn College professor Vinit Parmar about industrial pollution of India's Ganges River; an incredibly powerful account of veterans of the Iraq war who are struggling to return to "normal" life; and a wonderful fantasy about a city that's literally alive. You'll meet many of the international filmmakers and other industry pros as well. Free food and booze!

You are right, I have always known about man. From the evidence, I believe his wisdom must walk hand and hand with his idiocy.
