Does anyone know what the story is with the fire on seventh avenue?

this morning as i was leaving for work, around 9:30, b/w 10th and 11th streets i think. tons of smoke.

Gothamist news map gives the location as 359 7th Ave -- that's where Pizza Plus is. Hope all is okay -- I have a soft spot in my heart for that old joint. _________________ i blame such comments on boredom and drinkng, this is why we need more green spaces

it was, indeed, 359 7th Avenue...a grease fire from Pizza Plus. I live next door and now have a giant hole in the ceiling of my bathroom, straight through to the outside. ugh.
in other news, though...no one was hurt. we had all either left for work or were out of the building and neighboring buildings as soon as the fire started.

I walked past it before. All of the windows in PP are broken and water all over the floor.

Pizza Plus and the 2 apts above it are TOAST (no pun intended). No one was hurt, thank God. Just gotta call from the owner's uncle. Everyone's AOK, just out of biz for now _________________ A word or two from the highest point in Brooklyn--Greenwood Hts.

Not a grease fire, but supossedly issue with one of the other protection systems, go figure! Sorry to hear about your pad.

And as much as I liked Tost, I think I care more about their closing than the owners ever did--which is sad. They kept such erratic hours I thought they had closed months ago.
