There's a lost kitty in the N Slope. Fliers are posted around. It's a tabby. The poor owner came by last night and again today and has been looking desperately for his cat.
I have the owner's contact info. If anyone sees a lost tabby (stripped, greyish, white paws) roaming their yard or block please PM me and I'll send you this his contact info.
Let's keep and eye out and hope the cat is found and brought back home. _________________ (\__/)

Mamacita -- What street in North Slope is the kitty missing from? Most cats who get out are found within a block or two from where they went missing.

Please keep an eye out! I hesitate to put his # and email here because I don't have the owner's permission. But PM me. _________________ (\__/)

Awww, he is cute! He has been gone a week now,,,,sure hope he finds him soon! I will definitely keep an eye out for him over here. Someone else has a flyer up on 7th Avenue about another lost kitty, an orange tabby, that went lost somewhere in the vicinity of Garfield Place/1st St. and 6th/7th Avenue.

You need to post very far from his home--we had the same situation last week with my daughter's tabby who was gone for 2 nights and a day...but from fliers posted on poles and cafes, some on stoops, etc., one wonderful man saw a sign and found the kitty next day on his fire-escape--but NOT IN THE KITTY'S IMMEDIATE NEIGHBORHOOD. He was preparing to go to work, therefore in a rush, so had he not seen the flier...Fortunately, the finder's subway stop was in the kitty's neighborhood, so that is the only reason he saw the flier. So...post here and there,BY SUBWAYS STATIONS, in outlying areas - (laundromats, telephone posts, etc., --with photo), and call local SPCA or other rescue outfits to alert them in case someone calls them. Also, stop FedEx and car/taxi drivers and leave a flier. Good luck! Many prayers for your finding the kitty! Keep on trying.

This is a great idea I never thought of. I will be sure to pass this on in the future.

Thanks so much for reaching out and posting this. I've been desperately searching for this cat also. The owner's other cat, went missing just a week after this one did. He's a close friend of mine and is devastated. I fear they have been stolen as they never strayed far from the yard. Thanks again for your help and any info is appreciated.

How awful.
Your friend should send the cats' info and pictures to Fido. The guy who runs the website will add it to the lost pets page (yes, they gladly post about cats even though they are a dog org) and the info will likely be included in the next mass email, which goes to many people in Park Slope.
The cats could be in a neighboring basement so make sure the neighbors check there.
Keep us posted.

I saw a similar cat run across the road in the park as my GF and I were walking on Friday. I tried to call it but it ran into the bushes.

Jesus Christ, there are so many lost cats going on in this thread I don't know where to begin. I'm sorry to the people who have lost their cats, and I think it's sweet that other people get really concerned with the missing cats and keep their eyes peeled when they're out in the hood.
I still have a lot more messages to reply to tonight, so I won't go out looking for any of the cats right away, but I hope all the cats will get home safe and sound. And if they never make it home, I hope some kind, cat-loving person takes the lost cats in and gives them security and love.
On the one hand, this post makes me sad, because of the cats which are lost, but on the other, it makes me feel good, because it shows that people really care about others and their pets.
