Join the Church Avenue Debate? Coffee shop vs. $.99 stores — Brooklynian

Join the Church Avenue Debate? Coffee shop vs. $.99 stores

Why not join in the fray? Should Church Avenue remain a strip with nail salons, Western Union store fronts, and 99 cents stores? Or is there room for a coffee shop? Restaurant? Book Store? Some feel that a restaurant or coffee shop will "ruin" the authenticity of Kensington. Others feel the commercial strip needs to reflect the changing demographic.

Do you want a few more conveniences in Kensington or do you feel these conveniences are a slippery slope and will bring about another 7th Avenue Park Slope?
