Housing for New Orleans Refugee?

A friend of mine landed in NYC a few weeks ago. He found a job
in the city, and needs a sublet for the next few months (hopefully not much more, but possibly through the winter) until he can go back to NOLA. Any ideas?

Aren't there any sublets posted on craigslist? Not sure if this helps but I noticed the Uhaul by Atlantic is offering free storage (limited time probably) for Katrina victims.

The board in the stairwell of the Coop is the best local place for posting for a sublet -- you can go there without being a member. Just ask at the front desk for the housing board at the stairs, and they'll point you to the board. There's index cards, pens, and pins provided, and a whole lot of postings . . .
