SAT Verbal/Writing/English tutor available
Hello,
Since DH now has a classified board, I figured I'd put something up. I tutor for the SATs in Verbal (now called Critical Reading) and Writing and I can help high school and college students write essays, if need be. I am qualified and have lots of experience. I personally scored a 790 on my SAT Verbal and an 800 on the SAT Writing. I have taught SAT Verbal classes for Capital Educators, Washington, DC's top rated SAT instructors, and the Rockville Centre, NY school district. I have had over 50 one on one students, some of whom have improved scores of up to 170 points per section (though typical improvement is between 50-100 points per section). I graduated with a B.A. in English from Georgetown University and I am currently getting my Master's at NYU.
I currently tutor on Sundays and Mondays on Long Island and work Monday mornings in the writing lab at Nassau Community College. I recently moved to Prospect Heights, though, and I'm looking to expand my practice locally. I'm willing to travel to anywhere within reasonable subway distance, and I charge 75 dollars an hour. Please private message me if you are interested.
Thanks,
Ted

Subject: your page
You are putting yourself out there to be hired by parents to teach children. Your picture is off the wall, your writing is lousy and your presentation is unprofessional. Forget about being hired. If you are such an idiot not to know what is appropriate sales presentation so that I feel safe having you interface with my child, there is no way I would hire you. -
newbie bkatty, this thread is 4 years old!
surely there was something about paying attention to details in law school?
