I went apple picking yesterday upstate and I HIGHLY recommend the farm that we went to. It's huge and beautiful and the family that owns and operates it is wonderful. It's about an hour an half upstate, not too far from New Paltz. Here's the link to their website:

They are open for picking up until early November. Bring a picnic and make a day out of it!
