This weekend is "Old Home Day," the fall festival at Historic Richmondtown in Staten Island, which is sort of like the Colonial Williamsburg of New York. They'll have fresh-pressed cider, fresh-baked bread, a hay jump, pumpkin-picking, lots of craft demos, and all sorts of other good stuff. Directions and other info are here. It's really fun, and you can get there via public transportation.
