The kitties of St Johns Place

Some of my favorites:

The smaller sleek black one- she had a collar 2 years ago but I don't think she has an owner now. She's really friendly and can often be seen rolling around on the sidewalk and doing kitty things.

The orange and white one- she has half an ear, whenever there's a cat fight in the backyards she is usually involved.

The white with black patches one - I only see her in the backyard sleeping.

When we moved into our house we also inherited some stray cats. My son has now named all 6 of them. They have now become part of the family (more like in-laws because I don't let them in the house)
With all the building going on near me (the condos on Underhill) they have kept the mice and rats away from my backyard.

Are there any folks who regularly take care of the little critters? Specifically I'm thinking of these TNR (trap-neuter-release) groups who get the kitties fixed and otherwise look out for their well-being, like this group in the Slope:http://www.slopestreetcats.com/.

My brother in law works for Brooklyn Animal Hospital and I he took the strays from my yard and had them neutered/spayed. Im not sure if they do it for all but its worth a shot. They are very sympathetic there and truly care about animals.

I think some of the larger agencies also do it (ASPCA, Humane Society).

Did they do it for free?

The ASPCA doesn't have a TNR program so far as I know. I'm going to try to find out more.
