I live in Park Slope, in a *very* nice part of the 'nabe.' Literally steps away from the market/shops/restaurants/gyms, all the major subway lines, etc. (Atlantic, Bergen, 7th ave and Union stations). It is a safe area with decent parking (I've heard, I don't have a car).

As for the place: It's a large pre-war brownstone, 4th floor walk-up with lots of nice old detail. The whole apartment consists of 3BRs and you'd only share it with 1 person (me!). The the room is basic for a brownstone: 1 window, 1 closet, enough room for a (queen?) bed and vanity or a dresser. There's a private hallway so no one needs to go through your room to get around the place. We'd share the bath, dining room, kitchen, an office (the 3BR actually) & living room, plus nice views! The rest of the apartment is fully stocked and furnished, you would just need furnishings for your bedroom (storage space might be available in basement/open for discussion).

Me: A Friendly/outgoing young-professional female working for a museum 9 to 5. No drugs/no smoke/likes a glass of wine/beer with dinner. Not a neat freak, but likes to have the place clean and well kept. Love to cook, big foodie, but rather not just cook for myself. Like to listen to all kinds of music (rockabilly/alternative/jazz/blues/standards/40's/50's music), to watch classic/indie/art/cheesy b- movies & to read (I'm a literature graduate). Kind of a homebody too.

You: Prefer a professional housemate that has a full work life and no sleep overs with the boyfriend/girlfriend (though relative visits are an exception). Someone respectful of others property, honest, dependable, & trustworthy, plus willing to lend a hand around the apartment. Neat.

Looking for a FEB 1st move in date but can probably have access to the apartment earlier than that. $1150 + utilities (gas/electric -usually low). Currently don't have cable or internet, so that would be extra. For now it's a sublet, but lease is due for renewal(looking for long-term).
