The giant car wash on Montgomery and Nostrand now has a wooden construction fence around it. Anyone know what's up? It's been abandoned for quite a while. Pretty big lot....

The large lot at 958 Nostrand on the west side bet. Montgomery and Sullivan has just had an application rejected for a 7 story building on Jan. 15th. A demolition and construction fence were issued however since then. Sometimes builders go ahead with the demolition before they get the plans approved, so as to not waste time (and money).

Seems to be the same thing happened at the Mazon site at EPW and Franklin: demolition was completed before building permit issued.

What's the latest on the Car Wash spot and Mazons... anyone?

dunno, but i did walk by the mazon's on nostrand & EP last week, and saw a sign for a liquidation sale... makes me think that all is not well in the house of mazon.

it also means that we now live across the street from a big hole in the ground.
