Yes, I've been a couple of times. It's a fun place - smaller than Bar Toto, but beautiful wide windows that look out over the street, and gorgeous pressed tin walls and ceiling. And excellent wines. Can't speak for the food except for the apps, which are great - particularly the polenta. Very convivial environment.

I live pretty far away from this but I'm going to head over there soon and check it out. The good reviews make me want to check it out even more.

Well, I didn't want to pre-empt replies which is why I was neutral with my original post. But I think it's great too, relaxed atmosphere, something Parisian about the feel of the place, maybe it's the big windows, very 'tabac'. Can't speak for the food either buy well worth a visit, you can hear each other talk too !! Nice staff.

yes, yes, yes! i said the very same thing when my husband and i took his mother there.. food and service both good, reasonable with wine recommendations, and we only live a block and a half away.

we are beyond excited to have a place like this come down to our neck of the woods! come check it out...help us keep it alive!

I've driven by 3 times now, and each time I think, I gotta go there! Hopefully this nicer weather will get me back to walking, and I actually will.

Pardon me for reviving an old thread.

The location of this place has always been problomatic but put that aside. I live very close and it was getting "late" on a Sat nite so I revisited this place tonight with 3 other people. We were presented with menus post haste and then no one came by to take drink orders or see us, at all. Note... there were two other tables that already had been served so this was not a crowd of people in here. One person at the table got up and "found" the waitress. She immediately came over and apologized and said she thought it was her co-workers table. Gee, even if that is true don't say that in an empty restaurant.

We ordered two appetizers that were fine/ The entrees come and the "Loin of Pork" was just inedible. We sent it back. Oh, forgot to tell you that one drink oder went back before that!. My daughter, who is pregnant ordered a Virgin Bloody Mary. There were two Bloody Mary's that got ordered at same time. 3 drinks come. Two are what they should ahve been and tasted fine the "virgin" was weird... off. Daughter brings the drink to the bar directly and the bar tender confirms the order was not presented to him properly... and this was no virgin... but was BM WITH Tequilla. Definitely a mistake the waitress made with the "Lingo." Problem fixed!

There was no fixing the entree and the Pork went back and was replaced with a chicken cutlet (special... absolutely not special!) served with some pasta.

Bottom line the meal was mediocre at best and the service was just terrible.

IMO ...Because of the location this place needs to be stellar EVERY TIME to survive and flourish. I have had good meals here and I wouldn't write a trash review of the place based on one experience but trust me.... I could keep typing and give you every detail of the problems and how they were not fixed.... but the service was terrible and the food was close to that. i am cutting this short because I am tired and at least on my list this place falls to.. never go back.

I find ALL of the restaurants in this local chain have just horrendous service. The owners should really address this problem.

I used to go there a lot, it is such a nice place and we live close by, but then again it has been awhile so maybe something changed.... the food was good, but not extraordinary, but still a nice place to have a snack
