Park Slope Neighbors, a community organization committed to preserving and enhancing quality of life in Park Slope, has launched a petitioning effort aimed at pushing that neighborhood’s elected officials to take a stand on Forest City Ratner’s Atlantic Yards proposal.

The petition calls upon Council Members Bill de Blasio and David Yassky, Assembly Members Joan Millman and Jim Brennan, State Senator Carl Andrews and Borough President Marty Markowitz to call for meaningful public input into the future of the railyards. It asks that they take steps to:

- protect the area’s quality of life
- ensure fair, competitive bidding for the MTA's railyards, and
- explore other proposals, including the UNITY plan and alternate sites for an arena.
