Getting Iraq Right is the sine qua non of his campaign, and imprecision exposes his flank and it degrades his brand. The campaign contends that the press is frothing over a question of semantics, but that’s tough to argue. The scope of U.S. troop deployment in Iraq is the central issue of the presidential election. When combat brigades withdraw is not a detail. It is an essential element of the question.

It is not only a detail, it is essential.

  • Doddering old McCain rambling on about how "America is a Christian nation" and how his religion is better than all others:

  • Well, he's right about the "Founding Father's" setting up America as a Christian nation. It's stated in the Declaration of Independence, it was the reason why slavery was legalized and the Natives conquered. I.e. McCain is very, very old school. What he fails to mention is the "Under God" part of the Pledge was made law by Eisenhower in the '50's and not back in the 18th Century. I think the closest God ever came to be mentioned was in oaths and on currency. Eisenhower and Bush 2 definitely made religion a part of everybody's life.
    Vote Barack!
  • Ack! Foreign-policy-master John McCain thinks Vladimir Putin is the president of Germany!!! Eggcream's of the world cringe!

  • Think:

    Michael Sembello.

    Flashdance.

    "I'm a McCainiac..."

Oh wait. Not exactly making it any more enticing, I am sure.

    Not just horribal.

More like Horribal and his armies, riding on elephants, through the Pyrenees.

  • Are they from the PS or PH board? They kinda look like Dyker Heights or Gerritsen Beach. Howard Beach/Broad Channel at the most but we don't include them in the Brooklynian do we?
