Partial Building Collapse on Smith near Bergen St. Station — Brooklynian

Partial Building Collapse on Smith near Bergen St. Station

I was looking at the MTA site and they had a subway alert for the Bergen Station due to a building collapse. Anyone know anything?

EDIT: Turns out it's in Carrol Gardens

  •

    Not good.
  • 1010 wins reporting delays have been cleared on the F and the G

  • There are 2 Bergen stations -
The 2,3 are at Bergen and Flatbush
The F,G are Bergen and Smith

    Do you know which one?
  • Damn, forgot about that. I may be the Smith stop, I guess this question can be moved to that board. Sorry guys.
  • OH DAMN! I just saw this on Brownstoner. I was walking by this place just on Tuesday and Papi Chulo and I were remarking on how the ceiling was partially collapsed and the place look to be demolished any minute. Pigeons were coming and going out of the windows, too.

  • That is definitely Smith Street, on the street just above the track off the SW corner of Wyckoff Street.

I recognize the bizarre cinder-block monolith that is apparently an MTA property to the right.
  • I hate to change the subject a little bit, but I am actually looking at a place not too far from here. I have not seen many other buildings in poor condition - is this something in the area I have missed, or is it a rare occurence?
  • Not the usual with the area. These building last forever
