Olive vine

I wanted to post about them too! I got so used to ordering out, I forgot how good they are in person. The place is so relaxed, the staff friendly, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the green pizza. Nothing like it!

IT's worth the effort to go out to our "stand by" places once in a while. Rembember what keeps them great! -
The Lentil Soup is outrageously good in this place. A bowl and some pita bread is a whole meal.

thanks so much for mentioning this place.
i live right around the corner from olive vine and for whatever reason have NEVER been inspired to try it. no idea why.
i definitely will now. thanks for the good feedback on the place. -
I am addicted to their lentil soup. It's crazy good.
Their hummus and salad plates are awesome too. We love this place! -
And their Turkish coffee is excellent...strong as hell.
If the above poster was talking about Java ("the Thai place" -it's actually Indonesian and also very good and run by a delightful woman who takes pride in her food) -
Is this the place adjacent to Chiles & Chocolate?

Subject: BYOB!
One of my favorite things about Olive Vine - its BYOB!
A great night out - just bring a bottle of wine, and enjoy their great (and reasonably priced) food. -
There are two Olive Vines, I think. Must be owned by the same people since they have the same menu. One at 7th and 15th? and the other around Lincoln.
I, too, love the lentil soup. And their combo falafel platter is pretty good. -
i went last night and picked up lentil soup, a hummos plate and a side of pita for dinner.
LOVED it.
the soup was terrific. as was the hummos.
i'll definitely make it a regular thing.
thanks so much for the tip. i probably would never have gone in that place if not for this thread. -
In all of these years, I've never been tempted to try it either, but I hear they make really good pizzas
-
We tried it last night, too. Got it delivered and it was really good. I had the falafel sandwich with a side of hummus and my husband got the chicken platter. We both enjoyed it. Thanks for the tip... it came at exactly the right time, too, since there was a menu from Olive Vine waiting at my front door the day before I read this posting. Usually I avoid picking up the menus but for some reason, I took one with me. Then read the reviews and decided to give it a go. Oh, and they are nicely priced, too!
