Ooh Varuca, hair straightening is really, really bad. It will damage your hair. I know someone who had it down and she really regretted it.

whereas my wife gets it done and can't live without it.

she gets in done somewhere in the Chinatown area. the place was written up in New York mag as the best place to get it done.

NY Magazine did a writeup on it, I think- or mybe it was Time Out. The article said that the legal amount of fomaldehyde is like 0.02% but that most spas tested had like 7%!!!!! I would def look into the percentage used before you do it.

Yeah, I saw that article (Allure ran something similar at around the same time.) LOTS of formaldehyde.
