  • It was soooooooooo much fun! If you're a foodie, like me, it was awesome! There were lots of interesting people there and the risottos were delicious. Of course I think mine should have won first prize, but I'm still glad I participated. Most of the people I talked to were from surrounding areas of Brooklyn, and only a handful from Park Slope.

  • Antipasto-- roasted red pepper and mascarpone crema with artichoke hearts and olives. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm soooooooooo good. The crema I have leftover is like candy!!!!!!

    Isn't risotto just rice?

    What is judged -- the sauces and other foods that you mix with the risotto?
  • It is just rice, the same way that Foie Gras is "just liver". It is made with special strains of rice, in a painstaking and time-consuming manner which results in a texture and flavor unlike any conventional rice.
