Citicard commercial

Has anybody seen that Citicard commercial where the couple finally gets reservations at a fancy restaurant and then when they get there, the food is tiny, so they have to go get food afterwards? Well, if you're paying attention (or if you're bored and have nothing better to do than advance your Tivo slowly) you will notice that the deli they go to in order to buy chips and sodas is the newish deli on the corner of 8th Ave & 12th St!

Does anyone know when they filmed that? It was after the makeover to the gourmet market. Last commercial I remember filmed around here was a VW Commercial where the car went around Bartel Pritchard Sq.

The commercial runs on SNY all the time...you'll see it like 20 times during a Mets game.

  • Yea.....GO METS!!!!!!!!

anyway, maybe the same person still owns the deli and remembers?
  • There was a hemmerhoid medication commercial filmed at Belleville a couple years back. It was cool knowing I had dined in a famous place.

Anyhow, I'll keep an eye out for this new one.
  • The Brooklyn Museum was also in a Lipitor and Microsoft ad some time ago as covered here:

  • They shot a Toyota Highlander commercial on my block of 10th Street a few months ago. It's the one where the guy has trouble parallel parking but the rear-view camera in the Highlander solves his problems.
  • When I was living in Williamsburg for a couple of months in 2005, I lived below an actor who appeared in those cereal commercials where the guy is eating cereal at his desk and it's really loud. I can't remember the exact cereal, but the commercials ran quite often.

Anyway, he was the guy eating the cereal. I also saw him months later in a Dunkin Donuts commercial.
