President between Washington and Fraklin (opinions)

I just saw an amazing one bedroom on President between Franklin and Washington. The rent was very cheap and the place was huge. I walked around Franklin and it seemed kind of ghetto but I would be very close to some of the more attractive areas of Prospect Heights. Anyone live in this area, near the Prospect Heights School and Museum and the Franklin 2,3,4,5 and S trains? Do you feel safe? Thanks.

I live right there- it's fine- a bit noisy when the kids get out of school

watch out for the kids around there... is my experience with that area.

The kids coming home at the end of the day was great fun for me when I lived there.

It was fun and alive.

Newbie here and I'm so happy to have found this forum. I live on President and bedford. It's almost 8yrs now since I moved here from Astoria Queens and I've always felt safe. I love Brooklyn! Franklin does seem ghetto but you'll be fine. It's pretty safe noone will bother you but watch out for the Kids. They are really noises and tend to occupy the sidewalks.
