looking for healthy lunch near Fulton/New York Ave.

Started working around here a couple of months ago. I'm looking for good quick healthy lunch options near Fulton St. and New York Ave. I love Bushbaby, but the whole process of walking over there and getting take-out sandwiches does take too long on most days. I've tried Melanie's already. I'm mostly stuck in a rut of going to the Plaza Cafe in Restoration Plaza most days, and it is getting old quickly.

Any healthy options that a busy guy can get to and return to work quickly would be greatly appreciated. I know it can't be impossible.

Tiny Cup on Nostrand and Clifton delivers- perhaps they'll go to you? I can't find a website for them but they've recently done a menu blitz through the area announcing their deliveries. There are also the halal buffet places, several on Fulton between Bedford and Nostrand. You can do healthy with those places if you really want to.

That is a tough area if you are looking for healthy although Foodtown has salad bars and i think they make sandwiches at the deli.Applebees has healthy choices .BUrger King...salad and grilled chicken sandwich.Chicken and Broccoli from the Chinese restaurant. Cant think of anything else.

You may need to hike a little to get healthy stuff. In addition to everything named, there is a halal place on Atlantic and New York which you might be able to find something. Imhotep which is on Park and Nostrand (about a 10 minute walk from you, warning its takeout) is supposed to be the best vegetarian place in Central Brooklyn. Park also has a couple of Ital places and a lot of west indian food.

Brooks Valley is a sit-down west indian place on Thompkins and Hancock (also about a 10 minute walk) where you might find some other healthier items.

These are all fantastic recommendations. Thank you all. I'm especially interested in Imhotep and the TIny Cup (which I had also been tipped off to by a friend.)

I will say that I had some great curried soy with okra and spinach at Melanie's today, who I gave a second shot to.
