  • i used to goto bay ridge alot when i was younger. it was very conservative itlian and irish. but now days there is alot of middle easterners and other groups settling there. its still very conserative but its changed. alot more cooler restraurants. they have alot of wonderful homes that cant be beat by any place in nyc :p. huge houses and parking as other posters have said is insane! blah last ticket i got was there. i rarely get tickets even in the city lol. anyway its far!! last stop on the r train!!!

  • personally, I moved from Bensonhurst (next to Bay Ridge) to park slope to get away from there. I cut my commute in half and there is actually a night life in the slope. Sure, my rent is more, my space is smaller, but I'm on the park now, before it was a 4 mile bike ride thru traffice to get here. But you can get a lot of space for a lot less money way out there, then again, it's practically as far away from the city as florida! And while the trains kinda suck everywhere, the differences is that they suck LONGER when you live so far out... just my 2 cents!
