A wine bar! — Brooklynian

A wine bar!

Cafe Eleven is to morph into a wine bar, courtesy of the wine store (Big Nose, Full Body?) that's across the street.

I, for one, am very pleased, but Gowanus Lounge is reporting some displeasure by the neighbors.

  • oooh...yay....I hope they have cheese too!
  • Nothing has been even remotely as satisfying as the Jake Walk on Smith and Sackett... it's worth the treck over!
  • ooooh, jake walk is phenomenal!! let's hope it's half as good.
  • what's the jake walk? do tell!

(Edit: nevermind, I found info on it, but would still love to hear from anybody who has been there)
  • Jake Walk is a prohibition styled wine bar on smith and sackett... owned and operated by the folks who are responsible for Smith and Vine and Stinky... they totally know EVERYTHING wine and cheese related and brilliantly took the best of both shops and morphed it into a bar. In addition to the amazing wine list, you can get fondue, cheese plates, cured meets, etc.! Awesome.
