Halsey St. Corner of Stuyvesant ave: kindly comment
Hello!
I'm interested in renting a bedroom in an apartment at the corner of Halsey St and Stuyvesant.
Can anybody comment on the place/area? i.e safety, places to see/go to nearby, clubs/bars, convenience, etc.
Also, since i'm from a different part of the world i have this habit of wondering around.. just walking and doing sight seeing.. is this kind of curiousity a-okay?

fine, just fine. of course bed stuy is block to block (meaning some blocks are sketchier than others, some are not as 'beautiful' as others), but i love that area. you will be right by Lewis Ave. which you can learn about on this link:

what else is good is that you will be near the A express train stop at Utica.
it is so beautiful in that area to just walk around & soak in the atmosphere.
enjoy! -

mcdonalds?

For the life of me, I can't remember where the McDonalds is at around there but I am sure that there is one near. Maybe around Restoration Plaza, which is a couple of blocks from there.
As far as the neighborhood, it is nice. There is a spot called Solomon's Porch that offers live music during the week and even though it is small, it is really nice and has a good vibe. I believe that the area you are talking about is called Stuyvesant Heights and it is one of the better areas in Bed-Stuy. -
Mc Donalds is at Throop and Fulton. Its about a 10 minute walk from Halsey and Stuyvesant.
