Lamenting Happy Hour — Brooklynian

Lamenting Happy Hour

bewitched
edited November -1 in Prospect Heights
Now a certified DHaholic, I am filled with sorrow (and maybe the shakes - just kidding) as my first Wednesday approaches with no mention of happy hour. Off to the Jersey suburbs I will go, with no promise of turkey or pie, let alone cider and onion rings!

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving. Come back safe and stuffed and ready to DRINK...uh I mean, share all your wonderful holiday stories.

And if I text anyone over the next few days, be kind and write back. I will need the moral support, the holidays, these are some bright and scary times all at once.

Are you serious no turkey or pie? If thats true you are more than welcome at my family's house in NJ. :D
  • Thanksgiving with no turkey or pie? Wow, that's nutty!

KateBklyn and I were talking about happy hour the other day actually. We're both (well, I'm not sure if she still is, but I'll) still be around Wednesday night since Thanksgiving just involves me going across town and all. Anyone want to do it anyways?

I'm deadly serious, it's quite a possibility, I'm holding on to a shred of hope! If my brother and sister-out-law were going to be in town, I'd be whipping up a sweet potato pie and marching the ten minute walk to their house with some bubbly in tow!

So sad, I'll be long gone by then. But if anybody wants to booze it up tonight (when I should be packing) let me know, I'm game.

I would love to see you guys before the holidays. I can make it Wednesday but I was also going to suggest Friday since our own Rhodamine and his wife will be dj'ing at Soda.

Unfortunately, I'm working until 11 pm again tomorrow night. If you guys don't mind waiting up until 12 or so, I'd love to hang out though.

Heh. Sorry! I've been running around like mad most of today and couldn't keep an eye on this like I should've. Being that it's practically 7, let's call it a no-go and meet back up next week. Might drop in at Soda on Friday if I'm not in pain from all the eating I plan to be doing tomorrow. Happy Turkey Day, everybody!
