Atlantic Yards Rally - Sat. May 3rd - Lets Keep Bklyn Bklyn
Atlantic Yards Project Opposition Rally - Saturday, May 3rd 2:00pm

For everyone who cares, and wants to see the surrounding neighborhoods of Atlantic Yard protected against over-capacity, over-development, use of 2 BILLION+ dollars of public funds to enrich one developer, and questionable returns to the public which will forever transform these sections of Brooklyn, please come out this Saturday, 2:00 PM, May 3 at 752 Pacific Street (near Carlton Avenue) in the "footprint" of the proposed project.

This development was promulgated without due process of law, and in my opinion, is essentially a "fraud" on the public. Read this NY Post article, and judge for yourself if the public funds to the developer are excessive, and further, "shocks the conscious." The kicker is the developer, Forest Ratner, gets to use this land, partially via eminent domain, for a mere 100 million dollars, which he has not even paid yet. In my opinion, if we allow this project to go forward, we will be known as a bunch of "tools."

This is a shot of the development area.

More development on other side of Atlantic. Would be a nice place for a park.
Lets Keep Brooklyn Brooklyn, people.

This is solely the opinion of a 35 year Brooklyn native, and is not affiliated with anyone or anything except my firm belief this project is detrimental to the surrounding communities and its lack of essential government service capacity.
