New PRE-K / After School Music for Aardvarks Classes like you have never seen before. It is a one hour class of MUSIC, THEATER & AUTHENTIC INSTRUMENT-MAKING. We call it SUPER AARDVARKS.

Actress, Singer, Drama Teacher, Magen Ketch, will lead a rousing celebration of drama, music, and dance. Afro-Brazilian Percussionist, Dende will assist your child in creating musical instruments out of everyday items like tissue boxes, coffee cans, etc... Jam time will give the kids an opportunity to try their homemade instruments. The class activities revolve around the Music for Aardvarks songs.

The class will also feature amazing jazz and rock musicians, including Ann Hairstone which toured with Artists like Macy Gray and was a cast member of the STOMP.

DENDE - Dendê teaches Afro-Brazilian percussion classes in New York. He appeared on stage with Giovanni Hidalgo, Zakir Hussain, Adam Rudolph and many other exceptional musicians. Dende started making his own instruments as a poor child in Brazil, and still develops handmade instruments today.

MEGAN KETCH is an actress and a freelance teaching artist. She instructs pre-school age through high school age students for the National High School Institute at Northwestern University, Women’s Project and Productions in Manhattan, the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ, Snug Harbor Cultural Center and the Botanic Gardens on Staten Island. Her theatre training includes study at UNC-CH, Lecoq School in Paris, School for Physical Theatre (London) and with Antonio Fava (Commedia Dell’Arte), George Morrison, Joan Darling and John Gould Rubin.
